My skill sets range from web design to social media, to photography, event planning and more.
I have a diploma from Durham College for Internet Applications and Web Design, a diploma from Humber College for Photography, a Digital Marketing and Sales certification from Training Business Pros and a Wedding Planner certificate from the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada.
I have held many positions throughout my career, but they all lead me back to my creative nature.
People may be surprised to know that one of my first jobs was on a cruise ship as a Cruise Ship Photographer. I spent three years on Princess Cruises traveling the world and taking pictures of passengers aboard the ship.
For the next three years, I worked as an Event Planner and then moved onto a position as a Manager at a scrapbooking store. For four years, I not only sold scrapbooking materials but taught classes on scrapbooking and card making. I especially enjoyed creating wedding invitations. Something that led me to open my own wedding invitation business. After that, I went on to open my own web design business, allowing me to indulge in my creativity in an online format.
I love helping people and have volunteered my time with many organizations, such as Habitat for Humanity, and the Durham Down Syndrome Association. I also volunteered my time at my families trailer on Pigeon Lake to help the kids with crafts and to organize events.
My favourite sport is tennis! In the winter months I register in group lessons and in the summer months I play in a ladies double league.
